Ulama and NGOs to Act to Stop Genocide against Rohingya

The coalition of the ASEAN Ulama groups and the NGOs in ASEAN region and beyond
held an emergency meeting in Malaysia, (on November 29) today to timely respond
and act to stop the ongoing Rohingya Genocide in Myanmar.
The meeting
was organized by the MAPIM (Majlis Perundingan Pertubuhan Islam Malaysia) with
the support of the OIC (Organizational Islamic Cooperation) and the media
partnership of Rohingya Vision TV at the Hotel Carlton Holiday, Section 13 ,
Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
The meeting
unanimously called upon to the Islamic World and the International Community to
act to stop the ongoing mass atrocities committed by the Burmese military
against the Rohingya ethnic minority in Arakan state of Myanmar, find out
durable political solutions for the Rohingya, send humanitarian aids to the
region and conduct international investigation on the serious crimes committed
against the Rohingya. The meeting also successfully drew action plan and
decided to practically move to stop the Rohingya Genocide.
