Rohingyas are facing
genocidal attacks of Myanmar’s long term plan to clean out Muslims especially
Rohingyas from their ancestral land, Arakan (today’s Rakhine state). Read here:

The trigger point
for the recent escalation against Rohingyas in Myanmar; said October 9, 2017
while 9 police officers were killed and 4 were wounded at the police camps
along the border of Bangladesh. This not true and big distance from the truth,
the situation became unbearable which have been simmering for decades due to
the policies and tactics of successive military junta’s and under the path to
Democracy of Aung San Suu Kyi. Read here: https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/oct/10/myanmar-nine-police-killed-insurgents-bangladesh-border
Thousands of
Rohingyas had been held in open prison camps where they cannot leave, have
little food, no employment, and scarce access to medicine and medical care
since June, 2012. Life in the camps pushed to flee by boats to cross awful
journey to reach Indonesia and Malaysia but many of them were ended up in the
hands of human smugglers who were reportedly agents of Myanmar’s junta, beat
them for ransom and raped many, and many were killed and left to die along the
jungles buried in mass graves.
After Suu Kyi led
NLD won the election, Myanmar came out from the control of Army but the plight
of the Rohingya remained the same as it was, as the NLD government is continuously
following the general’s policies of not recognising the Rohingyas. Aung San Suu Kyi bans use of Rohingya
name for oppressed Muslims. Read here: http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-06-22/aung-san-suu-kyi-bans-use-of-rohingya-name/7534410
On 9th
October, 2016; When nine police officers were killed the government of Myanmar
was quickly blamed the insurgent into terrorists but they haven’t knowledge
about the attackers. They were crazily blaming to the Rakhine groups, sometimes
to the RSO which was formed in 1982s and defunct in 1995s, none today. Finally
Al-Yakin which is today’s ARSA appeared, declared through You.tube: https://youtu.be/-u6BkXstTjU with their demands as they are unable to bear the atrocities
carrying out by the government. They have demanded their ethnic rights back
which have been cancelled by BSPP government and materializing by serially
since 1988, ex-Gen Khin Nyunt then Thein Sein then continued by NLD, till today.
Then a report was appeared, prepared by the International Crisis Group said
there was no evidence to support the government’s claim as the Armed attackers
are local civilians, no evidence to accuse them as terrorists but said they
were preparing for such attacks since some months before attacks. Many Rohingya
activists have denied and condemned the reports of ICG.
As soon as the
incident took place, the Myanmar government took opportunity to demolish the
Rohingyas, termed the area as “operation zone” took unusual action
against the innocent Rohingya civilians including air attacks into the Rohingya
villages by the name clearance operation which has been followed and documented
by Human Rights Watch. Read here: https://www.hrw.org/news/2016/11/13/burma-massive-destruction-rohingya-villages
Since 9the Oct,
2016, hundreds of houses have been burnt and torched, whole villages have been
razed, aid to camps have been stopped or restricted, the army has executed
suspects in cold blood, arrested and detained others, tortured many, and
committed rape against Rohingya women, the army burnt and destroyed businesses
and even Muslim places of worship did not go unharmed. Read here: http://www.reuters.com/article/us-myanmar-rohingya-exclusive-idUSKCN12S0AP
On Saturday 12th
November military attacked a village with helicopter gunships killing 25 at
once, many of whom were women and children. The government’s position was that
they killed men who were with armed, knives and clubs and the Rohingya torch
their own homes to get more coverage and aid. Read here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-37970926
On 6th
September 2016, former UN Chief Kofi Annan was invited by Aung San Suu Kyi to
oversee the Rohingya issue and look into human rights issues. The former-chief
of the UN visited both sides and has done little else. His visit created some
publicity but no concrete actions or solutions on the ground. This is the same
UN that stayed quiet and did little in previous incidents involving the
Rohingya Muslims in 2001 and 2014 and it’s the same UN that helped the Burmese
government do a census but excluded the Rohingya Muslims. http://www.thenational.ae/world/southeast-asia/myanmar-buddhists-jeer-ex-un-chief-on-peace-mission
The UN once again is
quiet with this new incident and can’t even get much needed aid into the camps
where hunger and malnutrition are high. Any Muslims hoping the UN will be the
savior of the Rohingyas that hope has left many years ago.
Today’s
Rohingyas in Mayu Region
About 100,000 Rohingya
have been escaped for life and modesty. The victims of rapes described horror
stories: Read here: https://mirsdq.blogspot.com/2017/04/rohingya-fleeing-myanmar-describe.html
Many of the women
had their family members, including babies and young children, butchered in
front of them: Read here: https://mirsdq.blogspot.com/2017/02/rohingya-women-face-of-unspeakable.html
Myanmar military is
raiding everyday into almost all Rohingya villages of Mayu region. Looting
valuables and ornaments becomes usual then modesty of Rohingya’s women is
losing every day. Read here: https://mirsdq.blogspot.com/2017/05/rohingya-women-we-are-losing-our-modesty.html
Now, none is there
to save them, in today’s criminal capitalistic world; innocent Rohingya women
are hunting each day, their cries are spreading everywhere of the world, every
doors of world powers but no one is there to save them.
The
Position of Bangladesh in positive is must
Bangladesh is the
nearest bordering Muslim country of Myanmar, yet the silence on the part of the
government has been deafening and stone cold. The secular government under
Hasina Wajed has shown its disdain and heartless policy towards its fellow
Muslims in Myanmar. The Bangladesh government since 2012 has a policy of “Push
the boats back” and this policy is still in place.
The security forces
of Bangladesh can see and hear the cries of raped victims, cries of orphans
whose parents have been slept forever, can see blazing fire of Mosque in other
side of the border but they can push back those victims into the mouth of jaws,
perpetrators of Myanmar.
Both Hasina and Aung
San Suu Kyi were met in October at the UN in New York and Hasina reiterated her
commitment to work with neighboring Myanmar to resolve terrorism and violent
extremism, she also invited Aung San Suu Kyi to visit Dhaka. Read here: http://indianexpress.com/article/world/world-news/bangladesh-and-myanmmar-to-resolve-bilateral-issues-pm-sheikh-hasina-invites-aung-san-suu-kyi-3040639/
“PM Hasina’s stand should change, the root cause of Rohingya’s plight should find out and solved unless the Rohingyas may never stop entering into Bangladesh to save their lives. She is only one can solve the Rohingya issue” said a Rohingya activist.
Rohingyas in abroad
used to say “we can’t stay silent” but only voices are raising within closed
door rooms and expecting on those who are only using mouths, are not enough to
solve Rohingya issues without Bangladesh. Bangladesh must stand in prior then
the others.
