More women sexually abused in another Lound Don raid, two injure
November 8, 2016
Tatmadaw forces raided the restive village tract of Lound
Don once again on Monday.
During the raid, the security forces accompanied by Burmese
settlers (Natala) forced many women to strip and then touched them in their
private parts and made lewd comments. When two elderly women protested the
sexual molestation, soldiers and settlers brutally assaulted them, causing
serious injuries.
The raid started at around 10am, in the neighbourhood known
as Haati para in the local dialect. The Tatmadaw ordered the women to strip on
the excuse they were hiding illegal money in their private parts.

Activists from ethnic groups say the Tatmadaw uses rape as a
weapon of war to demoralise minority communities.
In one raid in Haati para, soldiers also urinated inside a
mosque and desecrated the holy Quran.
