Ambassador-At-Large for International Religious
Freedom, United States, David N. Saperstein in Rohingya refugee camp
Kutupalong, December
21, 2016 – David N. Saperstein, the
Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom, toured to Kutupalong Refugee Camp, Bangladesh on
Wednesday morning. He arrived in the camp around 9:30am.During his visit,
Ambassador Saperstein discussed religious freedom with government officials,
refugee representatives, and general refugees. He talked to the victims of
ongoing military oppression against Rohingya which started since October 09.
They have been listened the stories of victims with deep attention. He said,
United States is always committed to provide humanitarian assistance to
Rohingya and we are looking for a sustainable solution of Rohingya crisis. We
will address the sufferings of Rohingya minority to our government after the trip in camps, he
added.
