Myanmar Army conducting mass arrest and sexual
abuses in Southern Maungdaw

According reliable sources and voices from video clips, Myanmar’s
brutal military forces have been carrying out crackdown against the Rohingya
villagers since October 9, 2016. No village remained without attacks and
blames.
According to voice in footages since yesterday Myanmar Army
and BGP besieged GawduThaya village tract where dozens of innocent peoples have
been arrested and the women have been sexually assaulted by Army and BGP.
The dwellers are on run for the fear of brutal killing,
beating and raping women. For about their properties, Myanmar troops have been
looted all including bamboo wall of their houses since 9 Oct repeated attacks.
The villagers have nothing in their homes. They are escaping on for their lives
and modesty.
In the video, they said: 8th January 2017,
Myanmar Army besieged our village & torturing & trying to rape women as
all the males are left from village at 8:00 pm. Peoples from South hamlet and
West hamlet are left and escaping for life.
“I am one of those Rohingya to who were arrested by
military. See, how harshly tortured me, kicked me and beaten me by butts of
their guns. We were 7 persons arrested and took to school tortured there."
A group of women said, “We are from GawduThaya, Military is
chasing us, not letting to sleep at night. They molested us. We are going where
we see”.
