A Rohingya minor boy was brutally tortured by Myanmar
military forces in Kyi Gan Pyin of Maungdaw on January 5 2017 while the boy was
fishing in a pond which belongs to local Rohingya residents.
The victim was identified as – Mohammed Hasson (13) son
of Zubair of West Hamlet in Kyi Gan Pyin village tract.
According to our correspondent report, the victim was
held at 8:30 AM and was taken to a nearby camp stationed at Wa Peik hamlet of Kyi
Gan Pyin where he was reportedly beaten to severe injury by members of army in
the custody whole day, source said.
After torturing him whole day in the custody of army
camp, he was set free in a critical state. The victim was crawling toward home
while the villagers found him in collapsed state. However, he was carried his
home by the villagers who found him.
On the other hand, the boy did not receive any medical
treatment and remained at home for the night. His parents fear if the victim
will survive or succumb to his beating injuries as there is no medical facility
for the Rohingya in the area.
Amid and despite accusations from the United Nations
Human Rights Council of atrocities such as mass killings, gang rape, torture,
arbitrary arrest and so on by Myanmar security forces emerged against humanity,
Myanmar government keep on carrying out such crimes on the Rohingya, according
to a Rohingya politician.
