1 shot dead, 4 injured along Bangladesh border

 At least 1 Rohingya woman killed and 4 others injured in gun fire of Bangladesh Border Guards (BGB) Thursday, April 13, while a boat was ferrying Rohingya migrants from neighboring Myanmar to Bangladesh, source said to our correspondent.
“After opening fire on the Rohingya loaded boat, the BGB (Border Guard Bangladesh) approached to the boat where one woman was found shot dead and four were injured,” according to the police chief in the Bangladeshi border town of Teknaf.
The dead woman and at least 4 of the injured men were Rohingya, who were rushed to Teknaf Hospital, he added.
But the head of Teknaf’s government-run hospital, Iskandar Mirza, said the woman identified as 50-year-old Jahida Khatun and the 4 injured were all Rohingya.
“However, the bullet hit body of the woman was brought to Teknaf Hospital where the body was declared dead, source added.
The four other injured Rohingya were again referred to Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital for better treatment as the condition of the wounded bodies was critical.
