Myanmar military beat up some Rohingya
night-guards today again in Letya.
Rohingya women are crying with a voice of “save us, we
are losing our modesty” but no one can reach there to save them.

Night-guards are free and force labour to watch the
village, started since 1990s only along Rohingya majority area. In each village
at least 3 to above teams must deploy as night-guards, each team must contain
above three persons. The government security forces or members of village
authorities used to check them at any time of the night. If anyone sleeps,
mercilessly beats them and fined too. The timing of the night-guards is about
08 pm to 06 am the next day (about 10 hours). Village authority must inform to
the camp of security forces if any one of night-guard absent or sleep.
Since night-guard system created by Myanmar security
forces, many peoples left from the country for fear of their merciless beating,
harassing and inability of the big punishment including fine.
Since 9 October 2016, the authority tighten up and
forcing the villagers for night duty to watch the village. So, the Rohingya
keep on duty of watching the village from 6: 00 pm to 6: 00 am every night as
per order of the authority.
There are many groups of Military, roaming along the
region by the name clearance operation even the government withdrawn it. They
used to harass and mercilessly beat everyone whoever met in the village even
night-guards. In the villages on duty night-guards are mostly beaten up every
day without any question. Therefore mostly men are used to escape for the fear
of life and mass harassment. The women and girls are watching their houses. The
military used to take opportunity to the lonely women and girls, rape many
women each night and looting valuables.
“Last night my sister called me and said “we lost our
property and all including our modesty.” They are my sister, her daughter and
daughter-in-law, three of them were raped by Myanmar military” a Mr.Abul Faiz
(not real name) said.
Myanmar military is using now a new theory to destroy the
Rohingyas as: If anyone found in the village at home, beaten up and alleged as
assailant; if no one of man there, only women found at the house rape and loot
their properties; if no one in the house, set fire; what we do now, said a
Rohingya rights activist.

The rape victims are unable to say or complaint to the
authorities as they are the perpetrators, no justice and may send to the jail

Myanmar authority is using different forms or theories to
drive out or to demolish Rohingyas by the hand of Myanmar security forces.
We (Rohingya women) are losing everything including
modesty, unbearable! Save us, cry of Rohingya woman to the world.
