Myanmar Soldiers continued raids, mass arrests and extra-judicial killing in Mayu region

Myanmar Soldiers are non-stop conducting inhumanely operations, extra-judicial killing and hunting innocent Rohingyas along the region who are mostly damaged since 9 October, last year.

Fishermen gunned down
Mustak Ahamed (38), son of Kala Miah
Myanmar’s naval forces opened fire on two Rohingya fishermen resulting one dead and another got serious injury while fishing in Naf-river on 27 June 2017.
The victim was known as Mustak Ahamed (38), son of Kala Miah of KyaukChaung (Shilkhali) village.
Reported that, on 27 June, speed boat of Myanmar’s naval forces chased down the two fishermen and fired on them while they were catching fish in the river by a paddle boat. One was caught alive and the other one had gone missing following gunfire.
The next day, the dead body of Mustak Ahamed was found floating at the entrance of KumirKhali River and buried in the village cemetery by his relatives after praying Janaza.
They caught and detained Abu Sayed (28), son of Rashid Ahamed was taken to Navy base camp where he was severely tortured to critical injury by navy forces. He was later released after taking Kyat 1 million from his parents as ransom money.
Sayed has been suffering injury of torture since he is not getting appropriate treatment in the village and he can’t access to Maungdaw for proper treatment from Government hospital as he is a Rohingya Muslim, said the relative of the victim.

Military Raided
Myanmar Soldiers are raided into Pyoung Pike village of Nga Sar Kyu village track and villages in Long Doon village track at once and at the same time on 28th June, 2017.
Reported that at around 8:00am, a group of Military, included about 70 personals raided the villages at once and at the same time with a system of attacking on large enemy or fighting with terrorist, the villagers are in fear of the situation happened last year, then they have stationed near the main road of Kyien Chaung to Maungdaw in Pyong Pike village. Later some of them took place in front of school of Pyoung Pike and a small group has moved to the police camp of Long Doon till 2:00 PM.
Eye witness said “it is 3rd day of Eid, peoples are traveling hamlets to hamlets to their relatives. The military personals have snatched food and money from them and also beaten up without any reason.”
Moreover they have restricted pedestrian Rohingyas to travel by the main road since the beginning of raid till afternoon meanwhile they have snatched and robbed whatever they found including food stuffs and household items then inhumanely tortured many peoples by beating and abusing, eye witness said.

Buthidaung North: In Bor Dummbai hamlet of Thungana village tract, military have used the hand of local puppets, made a list of innocent Rohingyas. Later they started arrests by the list, mostly arresting educated and influential personals of the village.

Maungdaw South: In Andaang village, a religious scholar has been killed by military whom was arrested earlier. The victim is identified as Maulvi Abu Tayeb, 40 years old.

Villagers are in fear of life and modesty as non-stop raiding into every hamlets and villages; ethnic cleansing is going by the name of clearance operations along the villages of Mayu region. Most of the villagers are trying to quit for the life and brutal beating, killing, rapes, as taking place everywhere along the region, no one there to save those innocent Rohingyas.
