Security forces resume crackdown in Northern Buthidaung

Myanmar security forces have once again resumed intense crackdown in Maunggyi Taung (Shab Bazar) village track of Northern Buthidaung since yesterday (Monday) 5 June 2017.


According to our correspondent report, Myanmar soldiers are besieging the village and carrying out onslaught against the Rohingya residents where they are beating the people indiscriminately regardless of male and female, men and children.

Source said, almost of the villagers including women and children fled away from the village due to intense crackdown of army on them.

The security forces are mostly assaulting and harassing the women who are remaining in the village as they could not flee away.

Another villager says, the soldiers are torturing and even uprooting the beards of men whomever they find during onslaught in the village.

They have started the attack since yesterday which has been still going on in the village and committing various crimes against humanity including attacking women who are remaining in the village.

The purpose of the crackdown of army is to evict the Rohingya people from the village and 80% people have already fled the village and taking shelter in neighborhoods, says Karim.

Source adds, they are also looting the valuables and properties of the Rohingya entering every house by house.
