Rohingya farmers died and seriously injured of land mine explosion in Maungdaw North

Three Rohingya farmers have been died and one other is seriously injured of land mine explosion in Pyaung Pike village of NgaSaKyu village tract, northern Maungdaw while plowing the paddy field today on 15 July 2017 in the morning according to eye-witness (name omitted for security reason).
According to local sources the land mines were planted by Myanmar Army for assailants but Myanmar government media sources blamed to the assailants as usual.

Eye-witness said, the incident was took place when the farmers were plowing the land for paddy cultivation while one of them stepped on land mine, probably the land mines were planted by Myanmar government forces to hunt the assailants.

A village elder (name omitted for security reason) said, “The land mines were planted into the soil by Myanmar troops during the crackdown against the Rohingya civilians by the name of assailants under the pretext of ‘Clearance Operation’ conducted by Myanmar’s joint security forces”.

“We are in fear of government security forces in day time, masked-men at night time and now land mines, we must shut up our mouth unless both groups will kill us” another elder said.

As result of today’s incident, (1) Sayedullah 17 year old s/o Nur Alam was died on spot, (2) Feran Ali 61 year old s/o Mohammed Sayed was died on the way to Maungdaw General Hospital, then (3) Usman Goni 18 year s/o Mohammed Ali (aka) Kalaboda was died in Maungdaw general hospital and (4) Hamid 10 year old s/o Feran Ali was seriously injured, now under treatment.

According the villagers, the peoples are died for the lack of treatment facility. The road transport is too worse and no hospital or clinic for proper treatment around rather than Maungdaw, is about 17 miles.
