Rohingya Refugee Shot Dead in New Dehli

A Rohingya refugee youth, namely Anayat Ullah, was shot dead in New Dehli, India this morning.

The victim Anayat Ullah is originally from Nyaung Chaung Village of Buthidaung Township, Rakhine state, Myanmar, refuged to India since 2014.

The incident was took place at around 8am today (Aug 24) when the victim was working in Biryani shop in New Delhi, around his living area Uttam Nagar.
Reportedly the shooter is the son of the shop owner, still unknown the reason of shooting to a worker who is a refugee too.

"He died on the way while taking him to hospital," said a refugee in New Dehli.
The UNHCR, in New Dehli has been informed for the incident took place and to take necessary responses.

An FIR (First Information Report) has been lodged with the local police in Uttam Nagar and Special Crime Branch Police as well as Intelligence Bureau are reported to investigate the case.

Rohingya refugees in India said they want justice for deceased “is a refugee came here to save his life but killed him here without any reason” said Saber, founder of R4R.
