She said, I realize the pain of losing relatives. The Rohingyas who have come here (Bangladesh) losing homes will get temporary shelter. They must return to Myanmar. In her presence she said to the Rohingya refugees, we are trying so that you can return to your own country.

Prime Minister said these in a short meeting held in Kutupalong refugee camp of Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar at 12 pm today.
Considering humanitarian ground, we have given you shelter and we will stay beside you in your distress.

PM urged international community to put pressure on Myanmar to take back its Rohingyas soon.

Prime Minister reached Cox’s Bazar International Airport from Dhaka by a Biman Bangladesh Airlines at around 10:00 am. She reached Kutupalong refugee camp of Ukhiya at 11.30 am by helicopter. After her speech, she distributed relief packages among newly arrived Rohingya refugees.

Sheikh Hasina said, many lost their lives in indiscriminate gun firing of Myanmar army in Arakan (Rakhine) state and homes are being torched. Corpses of women and children are being found floating in the Naf-river. Such carnages can’t be accepted and tolerated. Considering the humanitarian ground, Rohingyas have been given shelter.
