By @mir_sidiquee
A peaceful demonstration was successfully took place in Noyapara Rohingya refugee camps, Teknaf, Cox’s Bazaar of Bangladesh, on Friday 5/01/2018.

Their slogans and holding posters are mentioned their demands to be fulfilled by both Myanmar and Bangladesh governments additionally UN for repatriation to be backed to their ancestral land.

According their demands, root causes are must be solved before their repatriation.

Their Demands Are (Must be solved before repatriation)
1-to recognize Rohingya as ethnic minority of Myanmar
We are the sons of soils, our generations are from Arakan (today’s Rakhine Sate), Arakan is our ancestral land. We are historical indigenous minority of Arakan. Burma has occupied it and changed the name of the land to Rakhine Sate.
As for our citizenship, must be restored unconditionally without any obstacles. As Rohingyas are aborigines of Arakan, Rohingya don’t have to hold or to apply for newly citizenship of Myanmar through lawless NVC program. We must have National Identity Cards in term “Rohingya” with full flash citizenship and dignity. As we can’t trust the government of Myanmar, must give all the facilities to those who are living Rakhine sate including IDPs.
Moreover, we must have same rights with other ethnic minorities of Myanmar in all sectors including Religious freedom, must be finished all restrictions, as Myanmar government has confined us since long time.

2-to resettle in own yards/village
We all Rohingyas have own yards in our villages, Myanmar government has destructed all, to push us into camps to be stateless. Now also Myanmar’s plan is to resettle in IDP villages or nearest villages to origins but our demand is to resettle in our own yards/village.

3-to compensate the losses
The government of Myanmar has destructed our properties including homes and religious structures, must be compensated and rebuilt. Confiscated properties of Rohingyas are must return to owners.

4-to ensure security of Rohingyas
As we are facing all crimes, we are ever at the edge of swords and at gun points, since long time, we can’t trust Myanmar government at all, therefore UNSC led Peace Keeping Force must be deployed in conflict torn regions of Rakhine state, before our repatriation or a safe zone for Rohingya must be created along conflict torn region under supervision of UNSC.

5-to release all Rohingyas who are in Jails of Myanmar
Our peoples are in jail, innocent villages without any meant, just for several kinds of allegation. The government of Myanmar must be released all Rohingyas who are in jails of Myanmar

We, the Rohingya want....
1-justice
We want justice against perpetrators who are being involved in crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing and genocide on Rohingyas.
A million Rohingya fled for Myanmar’s ongoing state run genocide, living in makeshift shelters within the risk of life, 100s of gang raped victims and 1000s of orphans are crying for justice in Rohingya refugee camps of Bangladesh.

2-stop genocide
The government of Myanmar must stop unconditionally, the state backed violence, the state run ethnic cleansing and genocide against Rohingya by the name of development or clearance in Rakhine state immediately and for ever-future.

3-FFM
There are many mass graves and remaining signs of genocide even Myanmar government has cleaned. United Nations Fact Finding Mission is urgently needed to know realities about the perpetrators.

4-respect the volition of Refugees
As Rohingyas are being faced inhumanities in native land, are sleeping well here in camps without fear of possible attacks even most of them starving or insufficient of their needs. Now they are in fear of force repatriation as happened twice (in 1977-78 and 1992 towards). Rohingya wants to respect their volition for returning unless same exodus may repeat very soon.

5-recommendations of Mr.Kofi Annan Commission
Rohingyas wants to be implemented the recommendation of Kofi Annan commission in all sectors to make peace and stable Rakhine state.
