Myanmar feels tension over crackdown against drugs in Bangladesh

Bangladesh has launched its own Duterte-style “war on drugs” with a national crackdown that has seen 9,000 people arrested and at least 127 shot dead over the past 17 days.

The sweeps led by the police Rapid Action Battalion — normally an anti-terrorism squad — have seized 1.7 million methamphetamine pills and 23 kilograms of heroin to date, according to the country’s home ministry.
According to sources different kinds of drugs particularly Yaba worth about Taka 112 million were recovered from Teknaf border area during a special drive and petrol by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).

In 125 cases regarding drugs, 24 drug smugglers were arrested but 2 persons are absconding in Teknaf, source from Police station said.

The BGB Lt. Col Asaduz Zaman Chowdhury said, the Border Out Posts (BOP) and camp under Teknaf battalion-2 seized Yaba including other drugs worth about Taka 22 crore, 57 lakh, 73,000 and 135 from the last 1st May to 31st May, 2018.
Tens of thousands of people especially youngsters are addicted to intoxicated Yaba and other drugs in Bangladesh nowadays which come from Myanmar to push the people into the path of ruination.

Consequently, Bangladesh government is eventually compelled to take the decision to conduct crackdown against drugs particularly Yaba which is produced in Myanmar and smuggled into Bangladesh.

Dozens of top listed Yaba smugglers have been killed in the crackdown against drugs in Bangladesh over which Myanmar top government officials are in tension.


The author said "Myanmar government is intentionally pushing drugs into Bangladesh for their ill-motion and long term anti-Muslim plan.

Myanmar’s Buddhists are usually used to hate Non-Buddhists, especially to Bangladeshi Muslims for helping human been, vulnerable Rohingyas who are suffering Myanmar’s genocidal attacks since many years. 

Myanmar’s high officials are backing drugs smugglers, factory and labs are too owning by High rank officials. Their intentions are to be dismantled the strength of youths of Bangladesh and same time to make money within short time. Moreover vulnerable Rohingya refugees are living in camps poorly, could be used in carrying in cheaper rates, to be tarnished their images too. Bangladeshi can be hated as soon as seen involved in drugs.

3-to be animated hates against vulnerable Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh
Basically, the Yaba including other fermented drugs are produced in Myanmar to make huge money through smuggling them into Bangladesh and to push the young generations of Bangladesh into the path of ruination which is the principal ill intention of Myanmar key government officials.

Consequently, Myanmar top level government officials who are directly involved in drug smuggling are in deep concern over the raid of Bangladesh government against drugs across the country, said a legal businessman from Maungdaw.

Myanmar government officials think that the smuggling of Yaba may be ended in Bangladesh due to such crackdown against drugs in the country for which the way of earning money for Myanmar unscrupulous officials will be stopped, added the businessman.
