Remaining Rohingya in
Maungdaw Township are also enforced to take the illegal national verification
card (NVC) by giving aids to the NVC holders by the government officials,
according to reports received on 12th July 2018.
The Government Officials in Maungdaw and Buthidaung said "No NVC, Nothing can do Myanmar." Now they have changed and practicing on aids, said "No NVC, No aids." Rohingya doesn't have ways rather than die or take NVC to survive.

Village administrators from
Maungdaw Township are giving lure incentives to the NVC holders, so that the
lingering remaining Rohingya also forces them to accept the NVC.

In the lure incentives they
are providing food items and necessary things, costing about 200, 000 Kyats to
per NVC households.
“These sort of lucrative
incentives are given to attract the suffering Rohingya to take NVC, as no
longer any Rohingya are allowed to do their daily livelihood,” explains a
victim from the area.

Burmese gov’t has further
tightened the livelihood activities and movement of Rohingya in northern Arakan
(Rakhine) state. This is leading to forced starvation and making the situation
more desperate day by day.
Since 25th August, Burmese
government’s genocidal operation have hit Arakan (Rakhine) state and forced to
flee 800,000 Rohingyas to neighboring Bangladesh with an uncertain future.
