Rohingya teen age boy dies in Buthidaung prison

A Rohingya boy who was arrested and tortured to severe injury by Myanmar security forces in 2016 has died in Buthidaung jail on 06 November 2018.

The deceased was identified as Abu Talek (16) son of Rashid Ahamed of YaeKhatChaung KwaSone Village (BorGozibil) of Maungdaw north.

According to report, the boy along with several other Rohingya peoples was arrested by Myanmar security forces on 13 October 2016 during crackdown of security forces against Rohingya.

After arrests, the arrestees including the boy were tortured severely by Myanmar security forces in the custody and sentenced to seven years jail.

Most of the detainees were internally and externally injured due to brutal torture of military forces after their arrests. Since then the detainees having been suffering pain and other illness which is caused by torture.

Unfortunately, Talek was one, among the victims, who has died of the injury on 06 November 2018.

The body was handed over to some local Rohingya Muslims nearby the jail in Buthidaung by prison authority who buried the body after Namaj-E-Janza in the village cemetery.
