Rohingya stuck in war

Remaining Rohingyas in Arakan (Rakhine state) are stuck in war while fighting continues between two armed forces, Myanmar Army via Arakan Army (AA).
As the fighting continuous since beginning of the year, a heavy clash has been occurred on 06-11-2019, very heavy weapons have been fired each other. In this war, 3 innocent Rohingyas have been critically injured, 10 houses burnt in gunfire of AA and Myanmar military in south east Buthidaung township.
“At least 10 houses were burnt to ashes and three people were critically injured following the heavy gunfire of Myanmar military troops and Arakan Army on November 6, 2019 at around 2:00PM” AT source said.

The victims were identified as Mohammed Jolil (35) s/o Nur Mohammed, Shona Banu (45) and Rabia (2), both are daughter of Amir Hakim of Tha Ye Pyin village of south east Buthidaung Township.
Sources said, more than military troops from battalion no, 551 and SaKaKa no. 15 went nearby Tha Ye Pyin and Kya Nyo Pyin villages and started indiscriminate gunfire. The AA rebels also fired heavy guns where at least 10 houses were burnt down.

Moreover, three people were wounded following the gunfire of both parties. Military used rocket launcher and other heavy weapons burning ten Rohingya’s homes in the villages.

The victims have been sent to the hospital in Buthidaung. “Shona Banu and Rabia are in very critical condition, are in the hospital now” source said.

Some houses were also burnt in nearby Rakhine village in the indiscriminate gunfire of both parties.

The fight continued till 4:00PM causing the Rohingya villagers flee to neighboring villages. The people of the villages near the war zone are unable to move anywhere due to continuous clash between Arakan Army and Myanmar military.
Thousands of Rohingya have been forced by war to flee to other villages and hundreds of civilians were killed since the inception of clash between Arakan Army and Myanmar security forces.

Now the Rohingya residents are in terror and unable to survive as they are not able to earn their livelihood following the continuous conflict.

The Rohingya refugees living in Bangladesh are expressing concern over the continuous clash in Arakan. They are also reluctant to return in this circumstance in Arakan (Rakhine).

“No one willing to go back into war zone to die” Rohingya refugee said. “Instead of creating conducive for returnees, the land moving towards more bloody & fearful,” added.
