SCBA calls Myanmar to ensure Rohingyas’ Rights


Supreme Court Bar Association – SCBA hold a press conference on 22/11/2016, called upon the world community to stand with the oppressed Rohingyas of Myanmar and urged the government of Myanmar to stop repressing them, ANA reported. SCBA leaders also formed a human chain on 23/11/2016 yesterday at its premises in Dhaka.

Mr. Yusuf Hossain Humayun, President of SCBA and advisory council member of ruling Awami League and General Secretary of SCBA and joint secretary of BNP were also presented.

They have issued a statement, which stated “Human rights are being violated in Nobel Peace Prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi led government at the behest of the direction of the hellish carnage happening along Rohingya minority residing area and also violating the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights-1948, Article 3, 5, 7, 8, 13 and 14 are including violation of International covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.”

The Communist Party of Bangladesh, also protested against the attacks on Rohingya minority in Arakan, issued a statement urged to the government of Myanmar to ensure the Rohingyas’ rights.


Moreover, in Bangladesh, many public organizations, religious organizations and NGOs also protested against the government of Myanmar’s violation of human rights including inhumanity and genocide, urged to stop immediately and also demanded to ensure the rights of Rohingya.
