What about you, my dear Rohingya brothers and sisters?

By Mir Ahmed Siddiquee

@UN #UNSC must take a serious action against #NLDGovt @OfficialSuuKyi & @Min_Aung_Hlaing to save lives of +million Rohingyas unless the world authorities would regret again for Arakan as happened in #Rwanda.

I got an opportunity to call to my cousin’s cell phone, who is a popular person along conflict area of northern Maungdaw, educated and professionally a farmer who has own lands and big family with brothers, sisters and children. He received my call, and as usual asked about me. Then when I asked him about his family, he said “my dear, no one with me, I have no knowledge about them,” then continued as follows.

“We are facing today, and we are under those plans which were written in “RED BOOK of Burmese Buddhist” by BSPP. Those are: 1-to kill all Rohingyas, if remained to drive out them all, if can’t drive out for international pressure, to be enslaved forever, keeping them in squalid ghettoes IDP Camps, then through UN agencies or INGOs to be deported to the third countries. The government made us as their cattle or football, today we are at gun points here, shooting on us, alive burning us, we have nothing today. We had something yesterday, to stay and to eat, living as their cattle but today nothing, we will be their football and cattle again. Yesterday we were at home, our kids were with us but today we are on the run, where are our kids and wives, no knowledge at all. Many peoples killed in my village, alive burnt too, all of them are my family, neighbors and my villagers. We don’t know yet about the exact quantity of life burned about them”, said a Rohingya man who is on the run.

Another Rohingya man with him as his best friend said “The military told us to stay at home cool and calm, not to run away but when we follow them, arbitrary beat and arrest every one of us or kill us when we try to escape. What should we do?”

“Myanmar Army killed 2 of my sons, a daughter and a grandson, my sons lost their lives bravely in protecting modesty of Rohingya women until their last breathe. I am not sad at all for them as they are martyred, Allah accepted their martyrdoms. Not only my sons many youths and middle aged person lost their lives, martyred.  They were stood up against tyranny of Myanmar, gang raping our women in daily base, who are torching our religious building, who are killing innocent civilians, Rohingya Muslims everywhere along the region”.

“It was neither planned nor prepared to stand against the tyranny, even not interested and hoped towards the government to be positive one day but the Government started their wild action, prepared as world war to fight with unarmed civilians, with helicopters from up, Naval forces from water lane, the Army from ground, world authorities also gazing from besides without any warning or prohibition. They start rain of fire from sky by helicopter, rocket launchers are firing like raining on us, we must be tried to escape” the elder end his call here.

According the phone call above, they have no way to be lived and to stay there. They lost boys, modest of women also not guaranteed, properties also looted, killed, torched alive, burned all houses and religious structures, arbitrary arrest and mercilessly beating is going continuously, innocent Rohingyas are labeling as terrorist, such kind of atrocities are no stop going continuously, they have no way to stay there.

This is time to take action against Myanmar government as they have been crossed all criteria of genocide. United nation is still silent, doing nothing, diplomatic words/voice may not useful, must take action under R2P principle unless the world authorities will regret again for Rohingya of Arakan as regretted once for Rwanda.
