Arbitrary arrests continued in Maungdaw


Myanmar’s Aung San Suu Kyi and her government are trying to hide the crimes those soldiers conducting on Rohingya minority.

Innocent Rohingya villagers are continuously arresting by Myanmar Army and Border Guard Police (BGP) in Maungdaw, Rakhine state, Myanmar.

On 10/02/2016, Rohingya villagers from Kyi Kan Pyin village tract (5 persons mentioned below) were going to search daily work at the nearest village Shwe Ta Pyin.

All of them are from the same village track Kyi Kan Pyin of Northern Maungdaw. Those innocent Rohingya are here:
1:- Abdu Rahman s/o Sayed Ahmed –Middle Hamlet
2:- Mohammed Isahque s/o Abu Sufiyan – Middle Hamlet
3:- Farooq s/o Abu Sufiyan –South Hamlet
4:- Shamsul Alam S/o Nur Alam- West Hamlet
5:- Shuna Miya s/o Saayed Ahmed – Wabaik


On the way to Shwe Ta Pyin village they were arrested by BGP team, the next day means today announced on state media site as “suspected peoples arrested.”

State media also mentioned that “they were going to Shwe Ta Pyin village” (a village situated just north side of their village tract).

According Myanmar government's views every Rohingyas are suspected as enemies as usually used to say there in the area, "We are here to end all of you" the soldiers used to say while they drunk and harassing the Rohingyas.

According the victims, they are on the way to Shwe Ta Pyin village, to search odd work to feed their families as their houses have been burned and all the properties including paddy, rice, cattle, clothes and other home use tools have been looted by Myanmar’s BGP and Rakhine extremist.

Many Rohingyas are arresting in daily basis and sending to the jail, harassing them until confessed as attacked to the police out post unless killed. Most of the arrests have been sent to the long term jail without any lawful judicial inquiry.

Myanmar’s central government is denying daily but BGP and Army continued their criminal activities as instructed by government through their superiors.
