"#NVC is most grisly and genocidal for the future of #Rohingyas"
The Vice President, U Myint Swe and his team visited the Thet Kay Pyin IDP camp, Sittwe Township, Arakan and met the Internally Displaced Persons during the meeting on 17 February 2017 at about 3: 00 pm.
Myint Swe said, “We are focusing on building peace
between the different groups in the state. The situation has been calm and
curfew order was decreased in Maungdaw. Everyone must abide by the rules of the
country. You are vulnerable people here inside the country. So you better know
how you are feeling more than the people out of the country. If anyone says
from outside the country that some food is very delicious, you can’t taste it
whether it is really delicious or not. So you don’t need to listen to the voice
coming from outside of the country. You need to follow rules and regulations of
the country as you are vulnerable people in the ground. The solution to stay
peacefully for you is just to accept NVC”.
One of Rohingya youths said, “U Ko Ni was assassinated
last month and International community is asking Myanmar government to handle
the case fairly and to prove who is behind this murder. But it depends on the
government and all the public in Myanmar. So the master key to solve the
problem is in the hand of government”.
We don’t know yet who has super power in our country.
Here is Mr. U Nyi Pu who is the Chief Minister of Arakan before us. But
shamefully to say that he doesn’t have the power that minister should have. If
someone says something for violated rights of Muslims (not only Rohingya but
also all Muslims in our country) a group of Buddhist extremists namely 969 (Ma
Ba Tha) and Wira Thu start protesting against it.
But no action is taken against the criminal. So where’s
the law and order? Who has the power to control such hatred groups? Why is no
influence of law and order on such dirty work? As far as we know all the power
is in the hand of Kar Lone (Defense Services -military regime).
Kar Lone is responsible for all things to solve fairly.
And we Rohingya have been living here for centuries. We have historical
evidences of being citizens of Myanmar. But the government and most of Rakhine
people say we migrated here from another country and we don’t deserve
citizenship. Why don’t you government arrange a historical debate between
Rohingya historians and historians from those who deny Rohingya Identity as
citizens under the UN delegation and International community?
If we can’t prove our Rohingya identity in that debate we
are ready to be registered as immigrant Bengali forever. If we can prove, our
Rohingya identity in that debate, we must be registered as citizens of Myanmar
and we must have all rights that the citizens deserve. Then the problem will be
solved.”
Then U Myint Swe said nothing but one of their colleagues
said, “What you said is absolutely right but it is political issue. We came
here with the issue of peace and reconciliation.”
Then the delegation left Thet Kay Pyin camp at 3:40 pm.
