By Mir Ahmed siddiquee,
A 10-member investigation commission from Myanmar arrived
in Cox’s Bazar on 19/03/2017 to meet with the Rohingyas who had fled Myanmar’s
Rakhine State for the fear of life and modesty since a military crackdown was
launched in October 2016.
According reliable sources, the commission arrived to
Kutupalong camp of Ukhiya. The camp in charge and Rohingya refugees warmly
welcomed them and then they met with some refugees and asked questions
including “Why did you come here and what do you want” to the refugees through
translator, the Rakhine man brought with them. Rohingya refugees have answered
bravely about the crimes conducted on them but the translator is hiding the
points and not interpreting well according to witnesses as many Rohingyas in
new camps are can speak Burmese very well.
