A Rohingya died in a landmine explosion in Myanmar side
adjacent to Sakdala area of Naikhonchury police station, Bandorban today, 3
October 2017.
According to Naikhonchury Union Council Chairman, Taslim
Iqbal Chowdhury, the incident of landmine explosion took place inside Myanmar
adjacent to Sakdala of Naikhonchury, Bandorban on Tuesday where a Rohingya was
killed.
The deceased has been identified as Nurul Islam (40).
The Naikhonchury Upazila Nirbahi officer, S.M Sarwar
Kamal said to bdnews24, the incident of explosion occurred inside Myanmar where
the Rohingya man was killed for which it was impossible to recover the body.
He also said, Rohingya may go there to bring the corpse
otherwise it is impossible to bring it.
The local journalist Abdul Hamid said, Nurul Islam went
inside Myanmar through the pillar no.44 of the border to bring his domestic
cattle that he left behind when he fled to Bangladesh in the early morning of
Tuesday. There he was killed in the landmine explosion.
Earlier, on 13 September, two nationals of Bangladesh
were killed in landmine explosion at the border.
