Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained four members of
Myanmar Border Guard Police (BGP) since they encroached into Bangladesh
territory on (Monday) February 26, 2018 in the afternoon.
Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) held the four
members of BGP along with their guns when they invaded in the territory of
Bangladesh at Unsiprang of Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.
Later, the detained four members of Myanmar Border Guard
Police were handed over to Border Guard Police of Myanmar through flag meeting
between BGB and BGP.
It is learnt through BGB source that the BGP commander
Lt. Sun Wet including four members of BGP forces along with their guns in white
dress encroached the border from Unsiprang of Teknaf.
Then the patrolling party of four BGB members detained
them and brought to Border Outpost at Unsiprang of Teknaf.
The Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Zahid Hussain Siddiqi
of Teknaf said, the four members of BGP along with their guns were handed over
to Myanmar through flag meeting between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and
Border Guard Police (BGP) in the evening.
